CLEARFIELD – Don’t forget to get your tickets now for the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging’s Summer Celebration to be held on Thursday, August 23, 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Expo I Building located at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. Individuals 50 years of age and older will especially find this event enjoyable.
Tickets are still available but they must be purchased before noon on August 10. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Admission price is $5/person. Admission tickets can be purchased at any of the CCAAA Centers for Active Living and at the CCAAA office building at 103 North Front Street in Clearfield.
This year’s theme is “Country and Western”. This “down home country hoe down” event is featuring country music, dancing, games and recognition of CCAAA center volunteers. “The Hound” of WDDH 97.5 FM radio of Ridgway will provide the music for the day. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. The excitement will begin at 11:00 a.m. with square dancing lead by the “Young At Heart” square dancers from the Clearfield Center for Active Living. After lunch there will be more dancing, music by “The Hound”, and door prizes.
The meal is being catered by Mountain Top Catering and will include bar-b-qued chicken, potato & macaroni salad, baked beans, garden salad or coleslaw, fresh veggies with dips, chunked fresh fruit, assorted cookies & brownies, and beverages.
