Motorists traveling Interstate 80 through North Central Pennsylvania are advised that traffic is heavy, with back-ups reported in several work zones this afternoon.
Eastbound and westbound traffic is reported to be slow, but moving in the work zones in the eastern part of Columbia County, in the vicinity of Exits 241 (Lime Ridge) and 242 (Mifflinville).
Eastbound traffic is backed up in advance of the work zone at Danville (Exit 224), as well this afternoon.
Motorists are advised to plan lots of extra time for their travels if taking I-80 this afternoon and evening. Consider traveling during off-peak hours.
Other work zones, not mentioned above, are likely to have back-ups as well at this time.
