CLEARFIELD – A month after agreeing to sell one firehouse, Clearfield Borough Council opened bids for the sale of another.
At April’s last council meeting, Clearfield Borough Council agreed to sell Second Ward fire hall. On Thursday night council opened bids for the sale of Fourth Ward fire hall.
Two bids were received. One was from Samuel J. Davis of Clearfield in the amount of $31,000. The other was from Robert Greenland of Clearfield in the amount of $45,000.
After Thursday’s meeting, F. Cortez “Chip” Bell III, Clearfield Borough solicitor, said that the sale of Fourth Ward fire hall would include both the building and the lot. He also stated that the building was appraised at $50,000.
The bids will be reviewed before a decision is made, which could come as soon as council’s next meeting.
