CLEARFIELD – Within the next month, the hub of all things Clearfield County fun will be in its new digs in downtown Clearfield.
Sandy Fink-Barrett, director of the Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority, said the CCRTA will likely complete a move from the Multi-Service Center on Leonard Street to its new home at 12 N. Front St. by May 1.
“I think this will be a win-win for our visitors and our partners,” she said.
The decision to move came in an effort to increase visitor accessibility as Barrett said the new location will make giving directions much easier.
She said she wants to make the office not just a place for visitors to pick up a brochure and a map, but a place where real people help visitors to find things. Barrett plans to provide online access so visitors can see what the area has to offer as well as a telephone so they can make hotel reservations.
Partners will find improvements for them, too, with a resource library she thinks will be a real tool to garnering tourist interest.
