CLEARFIELD – With the help of the DuBois Wal-Mart, the Clearfield County Office of Veteran’s Affairs will be better able to serve veterans in the county.
Wal-Mart awarded a grant to the office in the amount of $1,500 for new computers.
Domenick Kurtz, director of veteran’s affairs in Clearfield County, noted that the money will help in upgrading the office’s operating program from Windows 98 to Windows XP Professional as well as the purchase of new comptuers.
“You’ve been doing a lot to move your office forward,” said Mark McCracken, county commissioner.
Kurtz said that grant money is out there, you just have to be willing to go out and get it.
Commissioner Mike Lytle thanked Wal-Mart for always being a good neighbor.
