CURWENSVILLE — District 7 champion Greensburg Central Catholic will be the opponent for Curwensville\’s first appearance in the PIAA Inter-District Girls Basketball Playoffs. Tickets for Friday\’s first-round game will be on sale in the CAHS gym lobby from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, athletic director Allen Leigey announced Monday.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $3 for students. All tickets will be $6 at the door, Leigey said.
Coach Vic Gearhart\’s Lady Tide, the District 9 runner-up, takes a 21-7 record into the 6 p.m. game at Hempfield Area High School, located near Greensburg.
Greensburg CC is 21-6 after beating Ford City 47-37 in the WPIAL championship game Saturday. The Centurions, who were seeded No. 2 behind Seton LaSalle for the D-7 tourney, are No. 4 in this week\’s state rankings.
