Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce, PSU DuBois Students Team-Up on Main Street Program

DUBOIS – Students in the Penn State DuBois marketing research class and the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to find out what downtown business and building owners think will help the DuBois Main Street Program successful.

The mission of the program is to encourage revitalization by promoting local ownership, personal services and historic preservation.

According to a letter to business and commercial building owners, students will work cooperatively with the chamber to collect the required input to make sure the Main Street Program has a positive impact on every downtown business. The survey is being distributed, collected and tabulated by the students. It will then be presented to the chamber through a written report.

Over the next few weeks students will be going door-to-door conducting the survey. Building and business owners in the downtown area but who are based out of the area are asked to contact the Greater DuBois Chamber at 371-5010.

The letter states that this is an opportunity for owners to discuss their businesses and what assistance needs they might need. The survey is confidential.

Anyone with questions or looking for more information is urged to contact contact the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce. Findings from the survey will be reported as soon as they are available.
