BRADFORD — On a night when Whitney Cline became the ninth Bradford Area High School girls basketball player in the 1,000-Point Club, the Lady Owls outscored Clearfield 19-7 in the third quarter for a 55-43 District 9 League win Friday.
Cline, who is a four-year starter, reached the milestone late in the first quarter and finished with nine points for a career total of 1,006.
Shelly Fuhrman tallied 12 points for the Lady Owls, who led 27-26 at the half. Bradford, unbeaten in eight home games this season, is 14-6 and second in the league at 9-2.
Lady Bison Brooke Jordan took game honors with 16 points, including a trio of three-pointers.
Clearfield, which fell to 5-4 in the league and 10-7 overall, has a non-league game at Philipsburg-Osceola Monday night.
