DUBOIS – A Jan. 23 hotel fire that was originally classified as accidental is being re-evaluated, according to DuBois-based state police.
According to the report the re-evaluation of the Quality Inn fire is based on new information police received regarding the fire.
It was originally stated that the fire originated in the area of a storage room The cause of the fire was listed as an overheated recess light. Damage was estimated at $1 million. A number of area fire companies and the DuBois chapter of the American Red Cross responded to the scene. One fireman was reported to have suffered a minor injury.
