DuBois – Sandy Township Fire Department 1 reported a structure fire at a home at 145 Jefferson Avenue on Wednesday night around 5 p.m.
Responders were on-scene until around 9:30.
The fire was accidental, according to the report, and began when a candle was knocked off of a dresser. The fire was contained to the second floor and attic. The first floor sustained water damage. Damage is estimated at $75,000.
The fire department would like to thank all who responded and helped at the scene of the fire.
