ST. MARYS — The Clearfield Bisons boys basketball team fell to 7-7 on the season with a tough 66-61 road loss to St. Marys on Wednesday evening. Clearfield fell to 2-4 in District 9 League play with the loss.
Mike Johnson led Clearfield with 17 points, while Todd Hryn scored 15 and John Lhota chipped in with 10 points.
Kurt Baumgratz led the Flying Dutch with 24 points. Louis Pisani scored 20 points and Levi Welder added 12. St. Marys hit 12 3-pointers in the game. Baumgratz and Pisani each hit five and Welder added two.
In junior varsity action, St. Marys downed Clearfield 48-45. Kruise Kerr and Matt Shiner led Clearfield with 12 points apiece. The Bisons are now 10-2.
Clearfield returns to action on Friday when it hosts Curwensville. Junior varsity action is set for 6 p.m.
