CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority will open the 2007 Clearfield County Tourism Promotion grant cycle Wednesday.
The criteria and guidelines and application will be available online. Applicants will have the choice of downloading documents in Adobe form or Word format.
This year’s funding cycle differs from previous years in two ways.
First, rather than having a standard deadline, projects may be submitted throughout the year. Applications will be awarded on merit and funding available. A total of $25,000 in grants will be awarded. The maximum amount that may be requested is $5,000 per project application. A 50 percent cash match is required.
Second, projects must fall under one of several priorities in order to qualify for consideration: Signage, Web site development, joint projects (two or more organizations, businesses, governmental units, etc.), other media, or tourism development.
