CURWENSVILLE – A fire in Curwensville Thursday morning gutted an apartment complex and damaged the home next to it. The scene still smelled of wet wood-smoke Thursday afternoon.
Damaged were 620 State Street, while 624 and 626 looked to be a total loss. While the front of 620 State Street showed little damage with some spots missing on the roof, the rear left portion of the residence looked badly damaged. The 624-626 building was devoid of windows and doors on the front. The back of the building was scorched, and the roof had collapsed.
No official word has come through on the cause of fire yet, though there is speculation of arson.
