CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man was attending a criminal proceeding Tuesay at the Clearfield County Courthouse when he became unruly.
A report from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department said that the man was a defendant in a case when he became verbally abusive toward the judge and other court officials.
The sheriff’s office reported that the man even attempted to assault a deputy sheriff while he was being removed to the courtroom.
The man’s name has not yet been released, but he is being held in Clearfield County Jail on contempt of court charges. More charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
