DuBois — In a battle of undefeated squads, the DuBois Beavers came back from a 6-0 halftime deficit to drop the Clearfield Bisons to 2-1 on the season.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Bisons broke out to a 6-0 lead on a Trey Campman scramble that ended with a touchdown pass to a wide open Tyler Davis. The extra point sailed wide left.
The third quarter was all DuBois though. The Beavers put 14 points on the board via an Adam Sanko blast up the middle and a wide receiver screen to Cameron Kelly.
Adam Sanko scored again in the 4th quarter to put the game out of reach for the Beavers and set the final at 20-6.
Both defenses played well in the hard hitting, physical battle.
Josh Means had 2 interceptions to lead DuBois, while Campman had one for Clearfield.
Clearfield looks to get back on the winning side next week when they travel to St. Marys for a 6:00 PM game at Dutch Country Stadium.
The Clearfield 8th grade team fell to 0-3 with a 33-12 loss.
