CCRTA Looks at Additional Advertising

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority considered an offer from Pennsylvania Wilds to purchase cooperative pages and subsidized formatted advertisements for their for their local tourism.

The cost for the page was close to $25,000.

However, the CCRTA has already paid $28,000 for a presence in that book, according to board member and Clearfield County chairman Commissioner Mark McCracken.

“Shouldn’t we measure our initial investment…before we decide to commit more,” asked board member Greg Sheehan.

CCRTA chairman Wes Weymers agreed, and noted that there was insufficient information regarding their initial investment to warrant investing more money into the advertising program.

The board agreed to decline the offer, but to keep it open for consideration at a later date once more information was gathered.
