CLEARFIELD – At the request of Glen Hope Borough residents, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will place a radar-controlled speed display sign along Front Street near Ken’s One Stop Shop on Monday. The speed display sign will remain on location for about two weeks and will register the speed of vehicles traveling on Front Street.
The speed display sign uses radar and determines the speed of oncoming traffic. Those vehicle speeds are then posted on the lighted section of the speed display sign. Above the speed display is another sign showing the posted speed limit for that section of Front Street.
The state police will be monitoring the section of Front Street where the speed display sign is located.
