Permaculture and risk management the topic of Penn State Extension webinar

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — For homesteaders or farm-scale operations interested in maximizing land functionality, sustainability and permanent systems, Penn State Extension is offering a webinar, “Living on a Few Acres: Permaculture and Risk Management,” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 12.

This session is designed for beginning producers and those with farm-scale operations. It will cover core principles of permaculture and holistic farm design, focusing on sustainable land use and risk management.

This event can benefit anyone who is looking for more information about planning out their homestead or farm-scale land usage, organizers noted. Instructors will discuss specific practices relevant for homestead and farm-scale operations. 

Participants must register by 6 p.m. Sept. 12 to receive the link to access the live webinar. A $5 registration fee accompanies the event. Registrants will receive a link to the recorded webinar within 10 business days after the live event. The recording is available for six months from the event date.
