Explore Jefferson: Brookville Man Faces Charges for Allegedly Hitting Police Officer Multiple Times

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities say a man reportedly assaulted a Brookville Police Officer on Saturday.

According to Brookville Borough Police, the incident occurred in the 10 block of Maple Street in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County, on Saturday, August 17.

Police say an officer approached a known 43-year-old male, of Maple Street, Brookville, for causing a disturbance in public.

During the altercation with the officer, the known male struck the officer multiple times and attempted to bite the officer.

Charges will be filed through District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office.

The suspect’s name was not released.
