Local Scouts Attend National Order of the Arrow Conference

CLEARFIELD – Recently local scouts and leaders from Troop 2 and Troop 9 travelled to Boulder, Colo., for the National Order of the Arrow Conference.

The Order of the Arrow is scouting’s National Honor Society, with this conference being held at the University of Colorado.

During their trip from July 29 through Aug. 3, they participated in training courses for leadership skills, scouting and others.

There were also outdoor activities that pushed them to try new things such as whitewater rafting, mountain biking and scuba diving.

Scouts Gavin Coudriet and Zane Jenkins as well as leader Andrew Jenkins participated in their first Triathlon. And, they killed it.  The competition was fierce with 107 male participants, but Troop 2 came out with a strong showing.

Gavin Coudriet placed first and Zane Jenkins placed third in the youth division; Andrew Jenkins placed third in the adult division.  Everyone had a great time and they look forward to the next NOAC in 2027.
