State Police Assisting with Search for Missing Massachusetts Man

GIRARD TOWNSHIP – Clearfield-based state police are assisting Chicopee, Mass., Police with a missing person investigation.

According to a station-issued news release, Timothy Kravchenko, 19, was involved in a minor motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Gillingham and Ridge roads in Girard Township, Clearfield County.

Troopers say Kravchenko fled the scene of the crash prior to state police arrival, and is now listed as a missing person in Chicopee, Mass. Kravchenko is possibly still in the Lecontes Mills area.

He reportedly traveled from Chicopee, Mass., to Pennsylvania on Feb. 24, and Pennsylvania State Police learned his vehicle was in the minor crash on Feb. 25.

“… His family and friends have not heard from him since,” state police say, adding he’s not familiar with this area “and to our knowledge does not have a phone to contact anyone for assistance.”

Kravchenko is described as standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds. He has blue eyes and curly brown hair.
