Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding career opportunity? Consider becoming a lifeguard.

The Clearfield YMCA is currently accepting applications for lifeguards of all ages. Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring activities at the YMCA pool, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe, positive environment for all members.

Without qualified lifeguards, many popular activities such as Aquacise classes, swim team, recreational and lap swimming, parties, and private and group swimming lessons cannot occur. There is a national shortage of individuals willing to complete the requirements needed to provide this valuable service. Do YOU have what it takes???

Qualified candidates will have a valid lifeguarding certification that complies with PA State Bather’s Code, or will be willing to complete the training prior to employment.  In addition to a lifeguarding certification, candidates will be required to obtain CPR & First Aid certifications.  Mandated Reporter training must be completed within the first 90 days of employment and every 5 years thereafter.  Child Sexual Abuse Prevention training must be completed within the first 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.  The Clearfield YMCA will cover the expense of staff certifications and re-certifications so long as staff plan to remain with the YMCA for 6 months after certification.

All employment with the Clearfield YMCA includes a free full-access membership.

Interested candidates can apply at the front desk or online at https://clearfieldymca.org/employment-opportunities/
