Area Man Rushed to Hospital After Vehicle Goes Airborne, Slams Into Tree in Clearfield County

According to Clearfield-based State Police, the crash occurred at 5:52 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, on Deer Creek Road, in Graham Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 55-year-old David W. Kennedy, of Frenchville, was traveling north in a 2003 Ford Mustang and negotiating an uphill right curve. The Mustang crossed the southbound lane and struck an embankment off the left-hand shoulder.

The vehicle then became airborne, traveling approximately 15 feet before striking a tree.

Moshannon Valley EMS transported Kennedy from the scene to Penn Highlands Clearfield for evaluation of possible injuries.

He was not using a seat belt.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Emigh’s Towing.

According to police, Kennedy was charged with a traffic violation.
