WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Information has surfaced regarding a motorcycle crash in Washington Township that led to a local couple being transported to a nearby hospital.

According to a report released by DuBois-based State Police on September 1, this crash took place at 7:16 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, on State Route 219, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 61-year-old Mark McKolosky, of DuBois, lost control of a 2016 Harley-Davidson Switchback after it was struck by a deer that ran out onto the roadway.

The motorcycle subsequently crashed and slid down the roadway.

McKolosky and his passenger—61-year-old Holly A. McKolosky, of DuBois—suffered minor injuries and were transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Amserv LTD.

Both occupants were using a helmet at the time of the crash.
