DUBOIS, Pa. (EYT) — Clearfield County has reason to celebrate as a local has claimed a life-changing victory with a $2 million Powerball ticket purchased at the DuBois Walmart.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls: 7, 10, 11, 13, and 24. The ticket was purchased at the Walmart store located at 20 Industrial Drive in DuBois, Clearfield County. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus.

A ticket purchased in Clarion County matched four white balls and the red Powerball number 24 produced a lucky winner who will away with an incredible $100,000 prize.. The winning ticket was sold at Choice, a store located at 533 East State St. in Knox, Clarion County. Choice will receive a $500 bonus as a token of appreciation.

Three additional tickets winning $100,000 each were sold in different counties across Pennsylvania. The winning numbers for these tickets were a match for four white balls and the red Powerball number 24. The lucky retailers who sold these tickets were: Wawa at 12004 East Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia, Ho Ho Food Mart at 701 East Lutton St. in New Castle, Lawrence County, and LUKOIL at 4613 Street Road in Trevose, Bucks County. Each retailer will receive a $500 bonus as a token of appreciation.

A $1.08 billion jackpot ($558.1 million cash) was claimed by a single ticket holder in California. This win now stands as the third-largest Powerball jackpot and the sixth-largest lottery jackpot in the United States.

The $2 million-winning ticket would have been worth $1 million without the optional $1 Power Play add-on, while the $100,000 tickets would have been reduced to $50,000 each. The Power Play multiplier drawn was two, doubling their winnings.

Before the California jackpot win, the Powerball jackpot had been growing since its last win on April 19 2023, in Ohio.

Pennsylvania players contributed nearly $96 million in ticket sales, generating a profit of over $38 million, benefiting older Pennsylvanians according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
