Renee Richard Appointed to CNB Bank Board of Directors

CLEARFIELD – Peter F. Smith, chairperson of CNB Bank, announced the election of Reneé Richard to CNB Bank’s Board of Directors.

Richard is currently employed in Cleveland as the president and chief executive officer of the Corporate College division at Cuyahoga Community College. 

“On behalf of the board, I am pleased to welcome Reneé,” said Smith. “Reneé brings to the board a wealth of financial and legal expertise along with a passion for driving qualitative growth and improvement.

“Her experience, insights, and guidance will strongly promote CNB’s continued success.”  

An accomplished legal advisor with over 30 years of experience working with organizations in various industries, Richard is currently serving as Corporate College CEO, working to strengthen the division’s offerings in leadership and organizational development, quality and continuous improvement, and professional development through open enrollment classes and training for organizations.

Also serving as interim general counsel for the College, Richard provides strategic advice and legal counsel to College President Michael A. Baston, Ed.D., and the Board of Trustees.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University, an MBA from Cleveland State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.

She also previously served several years as a certified public accountant. She is involved in various civic roles, including serving as president of The Links Inc. for the Cleveland Chapter and a member of the Finance Committee and chair of the Fundraising Committee for the NAACP Cleveland Branch.

She is currently on the Board of Directors for AES Management Corp., Care Alliance Health Center and the YWCA of Greater Cleveland.

She is also a member of the Audit Committees for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and Cleveland Metroparks.

Richard has received several professional and civic accolades in her career, including the 2022 Black Professional of the Year from the Black Professional Association Charitable Foundation, the 2022 Woman of Achievement from the YWCA of Greater Cleveland, the 2021 Notable General Counsels award by CRAIN’s Cleveland Business, the 2021 Smart Businesswomen Award from Smart Business, and the 2018 Woman of the Year from the Women of Color Foundation.
