State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of theft March 6 at Fuel-On on Filbert Street in Curwensville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly called posing as a family member of the owner and had an employee put $3,447.03 into a BitStop kiosk to send to an unknown address. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report of terroristic threats March 7 on Old Erie Pike in Boggs Township. During the incident, 30-year-old Jarred Peters of Clearfield allegedly threatened to burn down the victims’ residence.
- State police received a report of theft March 14 on Walnut Street in Gulich Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole heating fuel from a tank outside the victims’ residence.
- State police received a report of an attempted theft March 15 on Pacific Avenue in Woodward Township. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to remove a battery from the victim’s mining equipment but was unsuccessful. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report of terroristic threats March 16 on Penn Street in Grampian Borough. During a domestic altercation, 35-year-old Mark Harris allegedly threatened to kill the victim if she contacted authorities. When he got into a gun safe, the victim fled for her safety and called police.
Curwensville Borough
- Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle, which subsequently attempted to flee. A pursuit ensued and was ultimately terminated for safety reasons. Charges are currently pending.
- Police were called to a School Street residence for a reported physical domestic altercation. Upon arrival, both parties were separated and the offender was arrested.
- Police were called to a reported psychological emergency. The individual was located and transported to the hospital by EMS.
- Police were called to Fuel-On for a reported theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police were called to a reported psychological emergency. According to police, a male was armed with a knife and harming himself. Upon arrival, police gained control of the weapon, and deescalated the incident. The male was subsequently transported to the hospital by EMS.
- Police were called to a Susquehanna Avenue business for a reported lost dog. The dog was located and turned over the SPCA; the owners were subsequently located by police.
- Police were called to a Filbert Street residence where an individual was reportedly found in possession of drugs. The female was arrested and housed in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police were called to the area of State Street for a reported reckless driver. According to police, the vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. The driver was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and taken for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending.
