Show to be held next weekend at the Clearfield Co. Fairgrounds
CLEARFIELD – The Central PA Outdoor & Sports Show brought to you by Carns and Mountain Extreme Powersports returns to the Clearfield County Fairgrounds on March 18-20.
Show organizers are promising the largest event in show history with over $15,000 in door prizes, including a 2022 Polaris Sportsman 450 from Carns Powersports, a Howa 1500 Kryptek Camo-finished rifle in 308 courtesy of Grice Gun Shop, an Orvis Clearwater Fly Rod Outfit and a FOXPRO X1 Digital Game Call courtesy of FOXPRO.
The three-day show will coincide with the Take’m Out Coyote Hunt. All weigh-ins will be held during the show in front of Expo II Building.
Main speakers on tap this year are big-game Alaskan guide and the History Channel’s ALONE 100-day Arctic survivalist, Roland “Rock House” Welker; Love of the Hunt TV’s Brad Lockwood; PA Boyz Outdoors and predator hunter, Jerry Lannen; Olympic Project Bigfoot Researcher, Amy Bue; and Appalachian Trail and Continental Divide thru-hike achiever, Scott McKenzie.
Other highlights include a conceal carry seminar by Clearfield County Sheriff Mike Churner, Chief Deputy Rob Thomas and District Attorney Ryan Sayers.
There will be an open forum on the North American CWD project by program director, John Eveland, and United Sportsmen of PA and Buckmasters Antler Scoring by Edson Waite.
All will be amazed with the opportunity to get up-close and personal with one of only 50 giant amphibious utility task vehicles in the United States, the Argo SHERP XT.
Beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, the first 40 kids, age 6 to 12 years, through the door will receive a certificate for a free Spincast rod from Jim’s Sports Center (one per family) and the Susquehanna Valley Rod & Gun Club will host a trout fishing pond for the youngsters.
And starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday, the first 50 attendees will receive a certificate for a Mossy Oak Outfitters Pen Light Flashlight from Bob’s Army & Navy.
A few of the new vendors include Case Knives, Quick Survive, Shoot for More/The Shot Assist, Cast Away Charters and more. Over 100 vendors and exhibits will be on display.
All attendees will receive a free door prize entry slip with paid admission each day to the event. All door prizes will be drawn at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be food vendors, wineries, distilleries, chain saw carving, blacksmithing and more.
The show is brought to you by Carns Powersports, Mountain Extreme Powersports, Visit Clearfield County, BIGFOOT Country 102.1/101/3 Radio, GANT News, Novey Recycling, Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub and Case Knives, and is held in conjunction with Grice Gun Shop, Bob’s Army & Navy and Jim’s Sports Center’s annual sales.
Show hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.- 7 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., in the Expo II Building.
