CLEARFIELD – Every 10 years as a result of the new Census, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania requires each judicial district to reassess its individual magisterial districts within the judicial district, according to F. Cortez Bell III, district court administrator.
This determines if each magisterial district should be reestablished as is, should be realigned by changing the boundaries of the district or eliminated, Bell explained.
The analysis also requires a review of the caseload, filings and workload within each magisterial district over the past 10 years.
“Court Administration for the 46th Judicial District in Clearfield County has performed the required analysis,” Bell said, “and deems it appropriate to reestablish each magisterial district as they currently exist.
“Prior to transmittal to the Supreme Court for review, the proposed plan has been posted on the Court Administration Web site for public comment.”
The plan may be reviewed on the Clearfield County Web site, www.clearfieldco.org, by selecting the Court Administration dropdown menu.
