State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of harassment Feb. 13 on Sarah Street in Decatur Township. During the incident, a female patron was requested to leave the Osceola Mills Moose but refused, resulting in a verbal altercation that allegedly turned physical. As a result, one female will be charged with disorderly conduct and one female with harassment through the district court.
- State police received a report of an assault Feb. 10 on Wallaceton Road in Morris Township. During a domestic violence incident, 31-year-old Robert Foster of Morrisdale allegedly intentionally rammed his pickup truck into a small sedan occupied by two victims. An arrest warrant was obtained for Foster and he was apprehended Feb. 11 without incident.
- State police received a report of a possible theft/fraud Jan. 31 on Spring Valley Road in Boggs Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police reported a DUI occurred Feb. 11 on Shawville-Croft Highway in Goshen Township. According to state police, a call was received about a male passed out in a vehicle stuck at the end of a resident’s driveway. When lights from her vehicle hit him, he woke up and tried to leave. Upon investigation, the 53-year-old Clearfield male was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- State police received a report of harassment Feb. 13 on Gertrude Street in Chester Hill Borough. Those involved were cited through the district court.
- State police received a report of criminal trespass/mischief that occurred sometime between Feb. 9 and Feb. 13 on Trout Run Road in Goshen Township. During the incident, a male suspect allegedly forcibly entered the victim’s residence but didn’t take anything. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police reported a DUI crash occurred Feb. 12 along the Philipsburg – Bigler Highway in Boggs Township. Upon investigation, it was found a 36-year-old Valier man was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. He refused a legal blood draw and charges will be filed through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police and fire crews responded to a South Sixth Street residence for a possible structure fire. Fire crews determined that there was only smoke from a faulty microwave.
- Local police were dispatched to a Daisy Street residence for a male who was allegedly chasing another male with a machete. Upon arrival on-scene, officers took the male suspect into custody without incident.
- Police and fire crews responded to a Leavy Avenue apartment building for a possible structure fire. Upon arrival on-scene, crews only observed minor smoke. Police learned that the fire accidentally started when a tenant was smoking a cigarette next to a cardboard box. The tenant then extinguished the fire by putting the box in the sink.
- While on patrol, police observed a disabled vehicle near the intersection of Krebs Avenue and Merrill Street. The vehicle’s registration was listed as stolen through a police database. While on-scene, police observed a suspicious male walking near the vehicle and identified the male as the suspect in a motor vehicle theft. Police took the male into custody, and as a result of the arrest, multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances were allegedly located.
- Police responded to the emergency department for a disorderly patient. Police arrived and deescalated the situation.
- Police received a lost ariel drone that was located in the area of East Locust Street. It can be claimed by its rightful owner at the Clearfield Borough police station.
- Police responded to a report of suspicious knocking at the side of a Nichols Street residence. Police arrived and did not observe any signs that someone was around the residence.
