JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A hearing for a Brookville man who allegedly slammed his wife’s head against a window during a recent domestic incident is set for Friday afternoon.
Court documents indicate 70-year-old Jonathan Andrew Zimmerman is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak on Friday, February 4, at 1:00 p.m. on the following charges:
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject other to Physical Contact, Summary
Hw is currently lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $10,000.00 monetary bail.
Details of the case:
According to a criminal complaint, around 3:34 p.m. on January 21, Punxsutawney-based State Police were dispatched to Brookville Borough Police Department to interview a known female victim in reference to physical injuries she sustained in a domestic incident.
According to the complaint, the victim reported that Jonathan Zimmerman had become angry at her while she was sitting in her vehicle in their driveway. The victim told police Zimmerman grabbed her by the neck and face, then slammed her head into the driver’s side window of the vehicle, causing her eyeglasses to break, causing multiple lacerations on the left side of her face between her eye and nose.
The complaint notes police observed visible injuries to the victim’s face consistent with her statements.
Zimmerman was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak at 9:45 a.m. on January 24.
