HARRISBURG – There are over 350 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases throughout Pennsylvania, including one new case in Clearfield County.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has confirmed that as of 12 a.m., there are 356 new coronavirus cases, bringing the statewide total to 72,282. The death toll is now 5,567.
According to data on the department’s Web site, Clearfield County has 40 total cases while 1,138 patients have tested negative for the virus.
All people are either in isolation at home or being treated at the hospital, state health officials say. County-specific information and a statewide map are available here.

“As Pennsylvania continues to move forward in the process to reopen, we need to remember that the threat from COVID-19 has not gone away,” Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said. “As counties move into the yellow and green phases, we must take personal responsibility to protect others.
Wearing a mask, continuing to maintain social distancing, and washing your hands frequently are all steps we can take to help protect others, including our most vulnerable Pennsylvanians, our essential workers and our healthcare system.”
DOH data shows there are 389,431 patients who have tested negative state-wide to date. Of the patients who have tested positive, the age breakdown is as follows:

State health officials say that most of the hospitalized patients are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. More Pennsylvania COVID-19 information is available here.
DOH data shows that in nursing and personal care homes, there are 15,545 resident cases of COVID-19 and 2,663 cases among employees for a total of 18,208 at 608 distinct facilities in 44 counties.
Out of the total deaths, state health officials say that 3,557 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.
It was also noted that approximately 5,463 of Pennsylvania’s total cases are in health care workers.

Non-life-sustaining businesses in the red phase are ordered to be closed and schools are closed statewide through the remainder of the academic year.
Currently, 57 counties are in the yellow or green phase of reopening. The first 18 counties moved to green on Friday. All remaining red counties are expected to move to yellow by June 5.
