CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly videoing himself having sexual relations with a teenage girl.
Patrick Daniel Luzier, 31, is charged by Officer Levi Olson of the Lawrence Township police with felony photograph/film/depict on computer sex act-knowingly or permitting child, photograph/film/depict on computer sex act-knowingly depicts on computer, photo, etc., dissemination photo/film of child sex acts and child pornography and misdemeanor corruption of minors.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge Mike Morris, on May 17, Clearfield-based state police forwarded a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to the township police for investigation.
The report was made by the Facebook Records Department, and was in relation to the dissemination of child pornography. Luzier allegedly sent a video to a 16-year-old girl on March 16 via Facebook messenger. The video shows Luzier and the girl engaged in sexual relations, police said.
Investigators were able to identify Luzier and the girl via their unique Facebook user numbers and other account/profile information. The IP address for Luzier’s device was also traced to a residence in the 400 block of Good Street in Lawrence Township.
In a police interview on June 6, Luzier initially denied ever having sexual relations with the girl; however, he indicated that he may not remember everything because she was around while he was drinking.
After being confronted with the content of the video, Luzier reportedly admitted the girl performed oral sex on him, and claimed it was her idea to make the video.
On Sept. 3, the girl told police Luzier “sweet-talked” her, and though the sexual relations were consensual, she didn’t give him permission to record a video. She said she was unaware the video existed until he sent it to her via Facebook messenger.
Luzier was scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Wednesday, but it was continued until 10 a.m. Nov. 27 during centralized court at the Clearfield County Jail.
