DUBOIS — The Clearfield Lady Bison will make their third post-season trek to Heindl Field in DuBois on Monday when they will be the home team in their 3:00 pm match-up with District 5 champion Chestnut Ridge.
Chestnut Ridge (19-4) was defeated 9-5 by Bald Eagle Area on Friday to place second in the District 5/6 sub-region, forcing them to travel in the PIAA state tourney opening round game against Clearfield (12-10).
Heindl Field will host a triple header on Monday, with the D9-AA champion Cranberry Lady Berries facing District 7 third place finisher Freedom at 1:00 pm, then the D9-AAA champion Clearfield-Chestnut Ridge game, followed finally at 5:00 pm with D9-A champion DuBois Central Catholic hosting Leechburg, another third place finisher from District 7.
The winners will move on to the PIAA quarterfinals on Thursday.
