BROOKVILLE — Bison senior Taye Lynch defended his 2018 District 9 AAA triple jump title with a winning leap of 42′ 6.75″ on Friday at Brookville Area high School.
Lynch was the lone member of either Bison team to claim a 2019 gold medal.
He will be joined at the PIAA State Championships by Avry Grumblatt, who earned a silver in the AA 400 meter dash, and the girls 4×400 relay team.
The state championships will be held at Shippensburg University on May 24 and 25.
The AAA boys crown was won by Punxsutawney and the AA girls crown was won by Brookville.
