BROOKVILLE — With three teams at nine wins on the entry deadline, Wednesday, seeding for the 2019 District 9 Class AAA Baseball Playoffs came down to points awarded for the classifications of opponents, and the Clearfield Bison wound up as the No. 3 seed.
Pairings announced Thursday night by Brookville Area High School athletic director Dave Osborne, the District 9 baseball chairman, show Clearfield meeting No. 2 St. Marys next Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the nightcap of the semifinal doubleheader at Showers Field in DuBois.
No. 1 seed Punxsutawney will play No. 4 Bradford at 4.
The championship game is set for Wednesday, May 29, on Showers Field at the time to be announced, with the winner advancing to the first round of the PIAA Class AAAA Tournament June 3.
