HARRISBURG — Keagan Hess of Clearfield and Christian Bakaysa and Madi Weber of Curwensville will be playing in pahoops.org-sponsored Roundball All-Star Weekend preliminary games to the 44th annual Pennsylvania vs Maryland All-Star Game Saturday, The Pennsylvania Basketball Website editor Bill Gaffey announced.
The area trio are among the many Keystone State seniors who have been selected for three games Friday evening and five games Saturday.
Hess and Bakaysa will be on opposing teams in the North-South Game at 4:45 p.m. in the Harrisburg Christian School Athletic Center.
Hess’ teammates on the South include Ethan Blose of Punxsutawney, Keaton Kahle of Redbank Valley and Alex Rezelle of Kane, while Bakaysa will be joined on the North by Blake Burgett of Austin.
Weber is on the National team with Lexi Risha of State College, Selena Mann of St. Joseph’s Academy and Carly Stigers of Forest Hills that will take on the American team at 3:30.
Josh Potutschnig of Glendale will be playing in the East Coast North-South Game that tips off at 6.
Huntingdon standout Nick Rigby was selected for the Pennsylvania team that goes against Maryland in the 8:30 feature game.
Gaffey is a former St. Marys High School player and coach who also guided Altoona Bishop Guilfoyle to a state championship in 1967 and Susquehanna Township to a state title in 1980.
