KNOX — Alayna Ryan of Clearfield scored 15 points and Madi Weber of Curwensville added 10 as White defeated Blue 116-84 in the 19th annual Clarion County YMCA Sportsmanship 1 District 9 Girls All-Star Basketball Game at Keystone High School Saturday afternoon.
Ryan and Weber also had six and five rebounds, respectively.
A long jumper by Weber broke a 33-33 tie with 6:58 remaining in the first half and Ryan followed with two free throws to trigger the White’s 26-4 run to a 59-37 cushion at intermission.
Olivia Books of Allegheny-Clarion Valley received the Most Valuable Player Award for leading White with 27 points. She also had three rebounds and four assists.
The winners also got a double-double from Malliah Schreck of Cranberry with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Chelsea DeSalve of DuBois chipped in 14 points, four assists and two steals.
Hannah Buhl of Kane was the Blue’s high scorer with 18 points, all on three-pointers, and received the Sportsmanship Award.
Ella Marconi of Kane contributed 15 points and eight rebounds, Kate Horner of Punxsutawney tallied 14 and Shae Black of Coudersport added 10.
Alivia McKimm of Cameron County won the 32-shooting contest.

In the boys game, White nipped Blue 89-88 after trailing 87-81 with 4:32 remaining, though neither team scored over the final 2:23.
Christian Bakaysa of Curwensville played for White and grabbed three rebounds.
Jonathan Cruz of DuBois claimed MVP laurels for topping White with 21 points and adding three rebounds.
He was joined in double figures by Dempsey Glover of Austin with 16 points, Jake Reynolds of Ridgway with 12 and Zane Puhala of Brockway with 10.
Kyle Mills of North Clarion paced Blue with a double-double, 13 points and 12 rebounds, and also was selected for the Sportsmanship Award.
Backing him were Korey Mills of North Clarion and Ben Gillispie of Venango Catholic with 13 points apiece, Nick Smith of Redbank Valley with 12 and Alec Wehler of Elk County Catholic with 10.
Tyler McCord-Wolbert of North Clarion and Ian Callen of Clarion-Limestone recorded 13 and 12 rebounds, respectively.
Gillispie won the 32-shooting event.
