Curwensville Area High School senior Christian Bakaysa was named to the 2018-19 Moshannon Valley Boys Basketball All-Star Team selected by the five head coaches.
He led the 5-17 Golden Tide in scoring with 374 points, a 17.0 average, as well as rebounding with 8.2 boards per game.
The 6-3 forward scored in double figures 17 times, including 10 with 20 or more points and a high of 30 markers against Brockway Jan. 25.
In the eight MVL games, Bakaysa totaled 138 points for a 17.3 average.
Most Valuable Player honors went to Larry Cowder of West Branch for the second season in a row as he averaged 18.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.85 steals and 2.85 steals, according to MaxPreps statistics.
The 6-2 Warrior senior also made the All-MVL Team as a sophomore.
Glendale senior Josh Potutschnig is the only other repeater.
First-time All-MVL recognition went to senior David Guerra of West Branch, sophomore Ryan Sinclair of Glendale and senior Daniel Rorabaugh of Harmony.
