KANE – The Curwensville boys basketball team took the long Friday night road trip to Kane to match up against the Wolves.
After a very competitive first quarter, with the Tide and Wolves knotted at 16 each, Kane won the last three quarters to come up with a 62-43 victory.
The loss has the Tide’s 2018-19 record at 1-11.
Senior Christian Bakaysa scored just about half of Curwensville’s offensive output with a 21 point effort on the evening.
The Wolves were led by Chad Greville with 21, hitting five three pointers, and 14 tallies from Alex Rezzelle.
In junior varsity action Kane knocked off the Tide by a score of 49-17.
The Tide are home on Monday to face Harmony in a Moshannon Valley League contest. The JV game starts at 6 pm with the varsity to immediately follow.
Just over a week ago Curwensville defeated the Owls at Harmony in overtime 64-59.
