TYRONE – Hitting 14 three-pointers on the evening fueled the Tyrone Lady Golden Eagles to a convincing 73-17 victory over the Clearfield Lady Bison in Mountain League action in Tyrone Friday night.
The Lady Golden Eagles jumped out to an overwhelming first half lead of 44-10 and then continued with a third quarter rout of the Lady Bison 22-5 to come away with the easy win.
For Clearfield, Alayna Ryan had seven points with Megan Duarndetta adding six.
The Lady Golden Eagles had three girls in double figures, with freshman Stephanie Ramsey scoring 18 points on six treys, while Sydney Shaw pumped in 16 and Jaida Parker, another freshman, netted 12.
Tyrone also won the JV game by a score of 34-20.
The Lady Bison (3-4) will battle rival Curwensville on Thursday December 27, at home, with the JV game tipping off at 6 pm and the varsity to immediately follow.
