RIDGWAY — Ridgway opened a 13-7 lead after one quarter and outscored Curwensville by two points in each of the next three periods to triumph 50-38 in Allegheny Mountain League girls basketball action Wednesday night.
Gabbi Rohr netted 13 points for the Lady Elkers, who utilized a balanced offense in their home opener after winning two of five non-league road games.
Held to just one field goal and one free throw in the first half, Madi Weber went on to finish with a game-high 15 points for the Lady Tide, who fell to 1-3 after their first AML test.
The Lady Tide will come back from their Christmas break to visit Clearfield next Thursday for their annual holiday game with the Lady Bison.
