GREENVILLE — Senior linebacker Dusty Maines (Clearfield) was rewarded for his outstanding final campaign on the Thiel defense by being named to the 2018 Presidents’ Athletic Conference Second Team last week.
The 5-9, 195-pounder started every game for the 0-10 Tomcats and led the conference in tackles with 93, including 66 solo stops.
He registered 3.5 tackles for losses of nine yards, one sack for a loss of three yards and one forced fumble.
Maines played in 30 games during his four-year career and posted 119 tackles, 84 of them solo, with 6.5 tackles for losses of 20 yards.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
GREENSBURG — Junior forward Cody Spaid (Clearfield) played a key role in Pitt-Greensburg’s 74-71 non-conference win over Messiah early last week with a game-high 11 rebounds and a team-high five assists.
He scored five points and blocked two shots as the Bobcats even their record at 2-2.
They dropped under .500 again Saturday, when they made the short trip to Latrobe and fell 82-73 to St. Vincent in another non-conference test.
Spaid netted six points, shared team honors with seven rebounds and added one assist and one block.
He leads the Bobcats in rebounds (35), assists (12) and blocks (9) while scoring 40 points for an 8.0 average.

DUBOIS — Junior center Bernard Rauckhorst (Curwensville) has scored 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds as Penn State DuBois tuned up for the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference schedule with wins in three of its first four games.
He had five points and three rebounds in a 99-53 road romp over Westmoreland County Community College, two points in a 110-103 loss to Butler County Community College, eight points and eight rebounds in a 105-101 win over Pitt-Titusville and five points and five rebounds in a 93-68 rout of Community College of Allegheny County-Boyce.
Rauckhorst also has been credited with three assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
In his first two season with the Lions, Rauckhorst appeared in 36 games, scoring 143 points, grabbing 141 rebounds and recording eight assists, four steals and 20 blocks, including a team-high 20 last season.
