Clearfield Ends JV Football Season on Three Game Win Streak

PHILIPSBURG — The Clearfield Bison Junior Varsity football team closed out their season Monday evening with a 16-0 shut out of the host Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties.

The Bison, who won their last three games, ended their season with a 5-2 record.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Bison went on a time-consuming, run-oriented drive that ended with a Jason Plubell three yard run for a tpuchdown and a Matt Pallo to Matt Bailor successful 2-point conversion.

The Bison made it a two-possession game in the fourth quarter when, after another long drive, Pallo hit Logan Firanski with a four yard touchdown, while Plubell ran in the final two points to finish out the scoring.

The Mounties valiantly tried to avert the shutout, but a Firanski interception at the Bison goal line with about a minute left to play preserved the whitewashing.
