Schedule Change Announced for Centre County Paving Project

Route 322 milling and paving set for Philipsburg area

PHILIPSBURG – As work to improve more than 41 miles of roadway in Centre and Clinton counties continues, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is alerting area drivers to a schedule change for milling and paving work in the Philipsburg area.

Overall work includes milling, base repair, resurfacing, curbing, sidewalks and guiderail updates on sections of seven routes in Centre County and five in Clinton County.

In Centre County, work through mid-September is now scheduled as follows:

Depending on weather, paving operations could be extended through late September.

No work is scheduled for next week in Clinton County.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on this $6.8 million project, which is expected to finish by late October. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
