Lady Tide’s Weber Named Mo Valley League MVP

Curwensville Area High School junior Madi Weber is the Moshannon Valley Girls Basketball League’s Most Valuable Player for the 2017-18 season.

The 5-11 guard’s selection by the coaches was predicated on her all-around play as she led the Lady Tide in scoring and rebounding as well as assists and steals.

Weber scored 383 points, 51.6 percent of the 4-18 Lady Tide’s total, to average 17.4.

She reached double figures in 20 games, netting at least 27 in four of the last seven games with a career-high 35 against Sheffield in a 66-31 win Feb. 9.

Her average against MVL opponents was 13.3 points.

West Branch senior Skylar Ceprish and Moshannon Valley junior Emma Kitko are MVL All-Stars for the second season in a row.

They are joined by junior Chloe Blake of the champion Moshannon Valley Lady Damsels, sophomore Makenzie Lukehart of Glendale and senior Liz Rorabaugh of Harmony.
