State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred sometime between Nov. 15 and Dec. 12 on North Seventh Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly took a Highpoint 40-caliber pistol from the victim’s residence.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about a retail theft/trademark counterfeit incident Jan. 19 at the Wal-Mart in St. Marys. During the incident, unknown persons allegedly used eight 100 counterfeit bills as payment. It remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- State police received a report about a retail theft incident Tuesday at the Wal-Mart in Fox Township. During the incident, a 21-year-old Hollywood, Pa., resident was allegedly caught trying to remove an item without paying. State police will file a citation through the district court.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an incident of fraud. According to police, a male had his identity stolen a few years ago. He was more recently alerted that an account was opened in his name and more than $5,000 was charged to it. He was advised to report it to police and the company would take care of it.
- Police received a report about a child yelling for his mother on Olive Avenue. When police spoke with her, she explained they were yelling for their dog, which was found. Police observed multiple children outside, and they appeared to be OK. Police cleared the scene.
