CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Choral Society has seen tremendous growth since being rejuvenated in the fall of 2015. Its next project is performing Handel’s masterpiece, The Messiah.
The concert will take place May 20 at Clearfield Presbyterian Church. Organizers are hoping for a 40- to 50-member choir, with a 17-piece orchestra.
Anyone interested in singing with the Choral Society is invited to register at the CAST building, located at 112 E. Locust St., in downtown Clearfield, on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Rehearsals will take place at the CAST building most Sundays from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Registration is $15 a person. Each singer must also purchase their own copy of the score. The choir is singing the Watkins Shaw arrangement. This can be purchased on your own or through the Choral Society for an additional $15.
