State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Oct. 5-6 on Brentwood Drive in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took several wicker furniture items from the victim’s porch. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a young child on Washington Avenue.
- Police received a complaint about a traffic violation on Coal Hill Road.
- Police received an animal call at the entrance of Edgewood. Upon arrival, officers located a dog that was tangled in the bushes and transported it to the SPCA. Police say the dog was a small, white poodle and it can now be picked up at the SPCA.
- Police received a report about the possible theft of a dumpster. It was referred to the Clearfield-based state police, as the company is based in Weedville.
- Police were contacted about conducting a welfare check in the Curwensville area. Police advised the caller to contact the state police.
- Police were requested to conduct a welfare check on South Second Street. Upon arrival, police found a male who was under the influence. He was also wanted through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office; he was taken into custody and put in county jail.
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft that occurred at Wal-Mart.
- Police received a report about gun shots at the Lawrence Park Village. The incident was listed as unfounded by police.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about a suspicious person who was bothering patrons outside a local establishment. Upon arrival, police located the female and requested for her to leave the area.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of the Troy-Hawk Run Highway and Route 322. No injuries were reported to police.
- Police received a report about people who were peddling for money in the area of the Sarina’s Restaurant.
- Police received a report about all-terrain vehicles being driven on Graham Station Road. Police would like to remind residents to respect others and their properties.
- Police received a report about a dog bite that occurred in the area of Coal Run and Ashland roads. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on Cowfer Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of fraud that occurred in Louisiana. It was referred to the police department, which has jurisdiction over the location of the offense.
- Police received a report about a tractor-trailer that had broken down; it was also blocking traffic. However, police found it was stopped in road construction.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call. However, police found everything to be OK at the residence.
- Police received a report about speeding along Glover Street. Police would like to ask motorists to obey the speed limits.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday a woman reported receiving a phone call from an unknown person who sounded like a child. She told police that after a few minutes of conversation, they made a threatening remark.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at CNB Bank on Wednesday.
