SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – Redbank Valley running back Clint Thurston was unstoppable in the Bulldogs season-opening 55-38 win over Keystone Friday night and is the Week One 2017 D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week.

Thurston ran 24 times for 231 yards and six touchdowns scoring on runs of 53, 24, 11, 8, 29 and 3 in the victory.

Joining Thurston in being honored are 15 players on the District 9 Honor Roll including Clearfield’s Isaac Rumery, who tossed five touchdown passes in the Bison’s win over Penns Valley.

The Player of the Week and Honor Roll honors will continue through the conclusion of the regular season.
